Burberry Prorsum presented its Spring/Summer 2012 menswear collection at Milan Fashion Week yesterday as watched live on F.TAPE and Burberry.com.
The collection ‘Handcraft Heritage‘ featured an eclectic range of coats from parkas to trench (as you’d expect), along with aran, fairisle and jacquard knits, pyjama collar shirts, scoop-neck t-shirts, short tailored shorts and high waisted trousers. Cork sole moccasins and loafers, woven lather bags, alligator iPad holders, crochet raffia caps and acetate sunglasses rounded off the yet another awe-worthy collection.
“This collection started with our iconic heritage as the foundation, we really wanted to emphasise this feeling of handcrafted pieces, celebrating craftsmanship but always with this playful element. We have taken our icons and played with texture to personalise and give them a real character and charm using colour to highlight the intricate detail that goes into crafting them.” - Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer
