Friend of F.TAPE, artist Josef Valentino, has set-off on the first leg of his around the world adventure to prove that by utilising the power of social media even the #AverageJoe can compete with the wealthiest art-lovers.
Earlier this year renowned British artist Damien Hirst chose to promote his latest global retrospective with the Spot Challenge – an exclusive loyalty card scheme rewarding anyone travelling to all eleven Gagosian Gallery locations worldwide with a free original artwork.
Not letting money come between him and his passion for art, Josef set-up a website to crowd-source the funds to travel around the world by offering x500 shares of the original artwork prize for £20 per share, plus an original artwork by Josef. Today alone one supporter of the project spent £1000 on shares and there are now 100 remaning and counting – so move quick to be part of this exciting initiative!
