Frieze Projects will see eight artists create artwork or installations around Randall Island giving free access to the art for all visitors outside the main Frieze show space.
To celebrate the collaboration Mulberry has created a newspaper offering information on Freize Projects and the artists. The paper will be available throughout the exhibition, and from select New York galleries and all three NY Mulberry stores (with a free tote bag) from 30 April – 7 May.
‘Fashion’s love affair with art is nothing new; each inspires the other and as such we are delighted to support the first ever Frieze New York. Frieze has become one of the most important dates in the London cultural and social calendar, for New York we specifically chose to sponsor Frieze Projects and are particularly excited about the accessibility and diversity of the projects commissioned. We hope the newspaper we have created with the fantastic Frieze team will encourage a new audience to explore the commissions and enjoy the installations, live projects and surprises Frieze Projects has in store.’ - Georgia Fendley, Mulberry Brand Director
