For Spring Summer 2013, Christopher Shannon has collaborated with heritage footwear brand Kickers, creating a limited edition capsule collection. Showcased at London Collections Men’s on June 16th, Shannon explores two key Kickers styles.
The Urbo Kicks CS is inspired by the Kick high boot, featuring Shannon’s unique choice of premium materials including pony skin, top grade suede, leather and patent mixes. Design details include a multi-coloured marbles outer sole, thick webbing straps and a removable memory foam core sock.
The Urbo Trapper CS comes in a mid-boot silhouette derived from the classic Kickers Trapper. Shannon created a textile inspired print on premium suede for the upper, with a combination of patent leathers and pony skin. Also featuring a multi-coloured marbled outsole, as well as heavy gauge hand-stitch detail to the apron seam.
With fewer than 500 pairs in existence per design, these limited edition shoes will be available at Kickers.co.uk and from a selection of UK retailers from January 2013. Each pair comes presented in an inky blue and brown card box with a ‘Kickers by Christopher Shannon’ branded shoe bag.
