British actor and fellow Londoner Douglas Booth is about to get lovestruck in a new adaptation the most famous love story of all time and he has some big shoes to fill… Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes left such lasting impressions of what the lovers looked like – but times move on, Claire Danes is now protecting the Homelands and Leo is hopping from one blockbuster to the next. The Audience has also moved on, most would never admit to the crush they incubated for Claire, or Leo, or both during the 120 minutes visual candyfloss of Baz Luhrmann‘s spectacular. So with all that love to die for, maybe it is time to revisit this story once more with fresh eyes and fresh bums on seats, igniting the hearts nether regions of a new generation looking for that ultimate sweetheart fix.
So now the bad news, this film is in post-production so you are going to have to wait a little while. But!, we have this shoot by Christian Oita who has captured a set of intimate portraits of the 20 year old Douglas for Clash Magazine as a prelude to the inevitable tower of photoshoots and interviews that come off the back of a movie like this and of having a face as beautiful and camera friendly as his. And an extra treat, this beautifully simple and captivating video of one man and his dog. Proving that all single men need to attract a partner is a cute puppy and a smile.
