Burberry London in Los Angeles
Burberry certainly know how to put on an event, so when the iconic British brand flew over 5000 miles to Los Angeles guests were guaranteed a spectacle!
“Tonight we were proud to celebrate fashion, music and Britishness at the iconic Griffith Observatory.
It was a privilege to be here with so many friends in such a wonderful city and the home of our new Rodeo Drive store.” – Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer
Bailey chose the Griffith Observatory overlooking LA to re-show his Fall/Winter 2015 Burberry collection and the event had all the pomp and ceremony of a royal wedding! Union Jacks and American flags lined the route up to the venue and once the sun had set over the Hollywood Hills it was time for the show to commence.
VIP Brits including the Beckham clan, Elton John, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Cara Delevingne and James Corden mingled with Hollywood’s finest as they watched SS15 campaign stars Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn, George Barnett, and George Le Page take to the runway to showcase the AW15 menswear and womenswear, with the addition of exclusive eveningwear.
British musicians George Ezra, Tom Odell and Clare Maguire were also flown in to perform live tracks during the show which ended with the First Battalion Grenadier Guards playing drums and flutes as they led the models off the runway to a garden party.
