Christian Louboutin – Tale of the Shoemaker
Christian Louboutin collaborates with illustrator Remi Wyart to create a festive fairy tale for the holidays – “The Tale of the Shoemaker and the Stolen Stars”.
“The Tale of the Shoemaker and the Stolen Stars” tells the story of a shoemaker who, like Louboutin himself, takes inspiration from the world around him, his curiosity unbound and extraordinary in its desire for beauty. The Gravitanita, available as a single-sole pump in 100 and 70mm heel heights as well as a flat, all embellished with a celestial mix of star studs and strass on veau velours, plays a central role in the narrative as a powerful object of desire. In the hands of our obsessive Queen, a devastating legacy is left on our fairy tale kingdom and the shoemaker himself.
Another central figure in the story is the ShoePeaks clutch. Influenced by Christian Louboutin’s fetish-inspired 2007 collaboration with visionary David Lynch, ShoePeaks is a mysterious and feminine minaudière that melds the form of two So Kate shoes into one seamless structure.
Available in two finishes, Black in lacquered metal and Gold in polished metal, ShoePeaks also features two of Christian Louboutin’s iconic red soles along the curved body of the bag. With an unprecedented attention to line and architecture, ShoePeaks is a unique objet d’art that pays homage to the designer’s fascination with sculptural lines and artisanal processes.
The full story will be unveiled on ChristianLouboutin.com on the 22nd of December.
