Dior Impressions Exhibition
Dior unveils a new exhibition ‘Impressions Dior’ at the Dior Museum of Granville featuring the links which have been weaving the Maison Dior to the impressionism art movement, from Monsieur Dior’s first creations in 1947 to those imagined by Raf Simons today.
More than 70 dresses will be on display paired with a selection of masterpieces from impressionist painters ranging from Monet to Degas, Renoir to Berthe Morisot. The exhibition showcases a need to seek out an open air ideal of impressionist artists that affected Christian Dior‘s childhood to impact his fashion inspirations later on.
‘Impressions Dior’ takes place from 4th May to 22nd September 2013 at Christian Dior’s childhood home Rue d’Estouteville, 50400, Granville (North West France).
