Christopher Bailey and Fashion Fringe founder Colin McDowell on Tuesday announced emerging designer Haizhen Wang as the winner of Fashion Fringe 2012, receiving the coveted 2012 trophy designed by Jessica McCormack.

The lines and contrasts in light and shapes that are found as a key foundation for his work. Haizhen’s collection displayed a fascination for Japanese armor and historical costumes. He is also intrigued by the expression of a masculine femininity. A 3D digital printer was used to create some elements of his collection, including the shoes.
