Louise Gray SS13 Catwalk Show
Louise Gray presented her ‘NOW WHAT’ collection for Spring/Summer ’13 at the Topshop Space during London Fashion Week.
Models strutted down the catwalk in newsprint, abstract garphics, quilted devore and the designer’s own doodles on shift dresses and androgynous tailoring.
The tailoring was full of attitude, each piece made from specially woven cloth of seemingly random images of positivity. Leather panel inserts and zig-zag prints make for an eclectic and fun feel – not surprising as the show was sponsored by Barbie, which Louise celebrated by creating three 21st century versions of Barbie’s first ever dress.
Meanwhile, dresses with chiffon-on-chiffon embroidery and mirror appliqué sequins suggested fun summer nights and for the first time ever, Stephen Jones and Tatty Devine collaborated With Louise on a line of hats and jewellery.
‘There’s all the things in it that I like,’ says Louise, ‘It’s a continuation of my own approach to dressing women. NOW WHAT is everything that’s nice for spring and summer.’
