Michael Douglas for Canali

Canali introduces the latest film from its 200 Steps series starring Oscar winning actor Michael Douglas.

The Hollywood legend offers some inspirational advice from his years in-front of the camera that can equally be transferred to everyday life.

An entrance should be a surprise” he begins, depicting the two characters that are played on screen – make belief or stripped back raw. What transpires is the admission that everyone lies to create a persona during their lifetime. “Acting is lying and people lie a lot.

Douglas goes on to discuss the importance of making an entrance and the art of doing nothing.

He ends by saying “I don’t want the best part, I want to be in the best picture. The only thing that matters, no matter how good your performance is, is that the whole piece works.” AMEN!

Michael wears a dapper navy two-button suit, pure silk shirt, roll-neck knits and overcoats from the FW14 Canali menswear collection.
