Saint Laurent Mens SS14 Catwalk
From Kate Moss’ cover of Vogue Paris to Tom Ford’s FW13 campaign and a retrospective exhibition at The V&A, David Bowie has been a great source of inspiration this year. Hedi Slimane continued the celebration yesterday on the final day of Paris Fashion Week.
For Saint Laurent‘s Spring/Summer 2014 menswear collection Hedi sent models down the catwalk in 1970s glam rock / teddy boy inspired creations including sequin tops, slim-fit blazers, leather and pvc pants, beatnik stripe tees and skinny trousers worn with winklepicker boots.
Whilst this is a progression from his more grungy rock ‘n’ roll FW13 collection we sense a slight lack of any original design inspiration. More-so taking influence from iconic music eras to create looks. But hey, from what we hear it’s selling so Hedi must be doing something right!
