United Nude for Lady Gaga
Last Friday saw Lady Gaga perform a bizarre art show to launch her debut fragrance ‘FAME‘ at New York’s Guggenheim Museum.
During the performance Gaga shaved and tattooed her head in front of guests including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Yoko Ono.
For the event Lady Gaga enlisted United Nude to design a bespoke pair of super high heels inspired by the FAME Fragrance campaign film in which tiny men climb-up Gaga’s naked body, paired with an Iris Van Herpen creation.
Rem D Koolhaas, Creative Director, United Nude: “We were invited to make a shoe for Lady Gaga’s new FAME perfume launch. Since we are fans, we thought we’d give it a try. They wanted the shoes to be as high as possible, so that’s what they got (over 12inches!). We came up with a few concepts, one of which was inspired by her own FAME campaign where she’s a naked giant and people are climbing on her. In the case of the shoes, we went for climbing gold men, and yes they are nude, United Nude.”
