Dempsey Stewart (Union) was scouted whilst shopping in the Australian city of Perth and invited to take part in a model search for Perth Fashion Festival.

She made her catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week in February ’11 walking for Marc Jacobs, Richard Chai, Preen, DvF and 3.1 Phillip Lim, going on to walk for Prada, Topshop, Giles, Mugler, Dries Van Noten, Chloe, Gareth Pugh, Louis Vuitton, Ungaro.

Following a stand-out AW11 show season and an equally impressive SS12 season, Dempsey has shot editorials for Dossier, NY Times, Dazed & Confused, Harper’s Bazaar Australia and Love magazine.

If you got to relive one day in your modeling career: Ahhh thats so tricky!! Maybe the day I did my first Marc Jacobs show, during my first show season last February. It was such a rush, Pumping music and walking out there I couldn’t believe it! I think I was shaking I was so nervous and cold but inside my core was so warm! He is one of my favourite designers.
Who are your idols: My mum and our ‘sister’ Jan! They are the most strong and independent women I know. They have so much to offer the world!
What was the last thing to make you LOL: When I got home just then and looked in the mirror! hahaha. The dark brown Lipstick I had on and left the shoot with was all of a sudden down my chin and half way up the left side of my face!
What was the last dream you remember: I was an actual chicken. I was laying eggs and watching them hatch. I had to make sure the chicks didn’t get lost and the runts were safe and eating well while the rest were still on their way! It was hectic times, hahaha
